Run for Life

Last year I ran the Dublin City Marathon to raise some money for the local Hospice Centre in Waterford City. This year I sadly cannot run that race again due to a wedding on the same day – nice one Damo, little consideration for the runners, no? ;) So instead I have undertaken a more modest achievement and decided to run the WLR FM Run for Life in aid of the new Solas Centre for cancer care in Waterford. The aim of the run is to get at least 500 entrants to raise at least Eur 500 each and as such get Eur 250,000 in 10 miles to help the creation of the centre. If anyone out there believes in this worthy charity or would like to sponsor me for the race then you can donate funds through MyCharity.ie and my page there http://www.mycharity.ie/event/jbwan/ All donations are welcome, no matter how big or small. The race takes place on the 19th of October around Waterford City. If you haven’t signed up yet, there’s still time if you’re interested.
